Covid 19 Update

Dear guests,

We have been given clearance by the Governor to begin hosting groups at our homes again beginning May 4th. The MN Dept of Health has given us sanitizing guidelines that will affect our check-in and out procedures (listed below). Per Governor Walz’s announcement on 5/13, it looks like all retail shops, stores and restaurants will be open in some capacity beginning June 1st. 

If you have a reservation and….

  • feel sick and/or have tested positive for COVID-19
  • have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within 2 weeks of your arrival date and have not been tested

You will receive a 100% credit for 12 months towards a future reservation if you have tested positive for COVID and/or have a person in your home that has tested positive less than 2 weeks prior to your arrival. Please contact me ASAP and we’ll get you rescheduled to a future date and try to rebook your current reservation.

Loon Lodge on Leech Lake

Loon Lodge on Leech Lake

I wanted to give you a quick update on what’s happening in the Walker, MN area and how we’re handling guests at Loon Lodge on Leech Lake (at least today- this may be outdated by the time you read it! Visit our Facebook Page for the latest updates).

Here’s the latest… 

  • What has changed with our procedures. To protect our housekeepers and guests, in addition to our normal cleaning and disinfecting, we are implementing the following updates between check-out/check-in.
    1. Changes to the home: For “soft” materials we will remove all decorative pillows, rugs, extra blankets and run the furnace fan continually to help exchange air inside the home. All linens will be washed and “rested” for at least 72 hours between use. 
    2. Changes to cleaning by our housekeepers:  We will disinfect high touch areas with a bleach/water combination including all tops, light switches, remote controls, door/cabinet handles, etc. 
    3. Changes to check-in/out policy: When groups Check-in and out on the same day, we will move back check-in to 5:30 pm and check-out 9:30am to allow for extra cleaning time. During your stay we ask you run all silverware, dishes, pots and pans through the dishwasher on high heat to thoroughly sanitize them. This is in addition to washing pots/pans by hand for general cleaning. The morning of checkout, you’ll help ventilate the home by opening up windows on the front and back of the home. 

New reservations. If you make a reservation for a future date and need to cancel due to COVID-19 stay-at-home restrictions, we will issue a full refund or give a full credit that can be used for 12 months. Check availability here.

 

Loon Lodge on Lake Superior
