“Our group of 3 couples stayed here for 4 nights at the end of July. The location was perfect. We enjoyed cocktails on the balcony overlooking Lake Superior, viewing the birds (bald eagles, loons, gulls, hummingbirds, mergansers) and evening walks along the bike trail next to the lake. The accommodations were lovely with adequate community space, but still privacy for our three couples in each bedroom/bathroom suite. Admiring the Milky Way from the upper deck was an unexpected surprise.

There were many things in the area that our group enjoyed. We were delighted with the waterfalls at the nearby state parks: Gooseberry Falls, Cascade, and Grand Portage. Do not miss the Split Rock Lighthouse, the Lutsen Mountain Tram or the Grand Portage National Monument.

We also spent a day in Grand Marais and were delighted by our lakeshore hike along Artist Point, behind the Coast Guard Station. The Angry Trout restaurant was a real treat, as was our drive through the wilderness on the gunflint Trail.

I would gladly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing break along the north shore of Lake Superior. Our group truly had a superior stay and hope to come back again.”
