I’m proud to announce that I’ll be traveling to Mexico on my first mission trip to help build two homes for families in need. On Feb. 12th, with a group of about 25 people, I’ll travel to Puerto Peñasco and work with http://1mission.org/. Watch the video below to see exactly what we’ll be up to…
Our group needs to raise about $19,000 to pay for the home’s materials, our housing while in country and travel costs. To help do that I’ve decided to auction off a couple of trips to my vacation rental homes!
I’ve been getting a lot of questions so thought I’d put up an FAQ section:
What is the minimum bid? There is none but I’d suggest starting at $100/trip.
What is a reserve? I have a minimum price I’ll release the trips for. If you bid and the reserve/minimum isn’t met, you don’t win or owe anything. My reserve is a fraction of the retail value :-).
When do I pick my dates? If you’re the winning bid we’ll look at the calendar to confirm the date you want is available. If it isn’t available, you don’t have to purchase the trip.
Can I use a Reward Point to extend the trip? If you’re a past renter and have a reward point, yes you can use it to add on another free night!
If I bid and don’t win do I have to pay that money? No
Can I make a donation without bidding on a trip? Absolutely! We’re working with two churches you can make a donation to. You can call or text me at 612-221-2424 or email me and I’ll give you details.
Trip #1- Loon Lodge in Walker, MN on Leech Lake
This is a 2 night weekend or 3 night weekday trip for up to 8 people! Maximum value is $621.

Trip #2- Aspenwood in Lutsen, MN on Lake Superior
This is a 2 night weekend or 3 night weekday trip for up to 8 people! Maximum value is $1,096.
Details on Aspenwood: Four bedroom, four bath townhome located on the shore of Lake Superior in Lutsen. Direct access to the lake and 600 ft of lake shore. Less than 10 minute drive to Lutsen Mountains, hiking/snowmobile/cross country ski trails. More details https://www.vrbo.com/90964

Fine Print: This is a silent auction and each trip has a minimum reserve. All bids must be placed below in the comment section. Please note which trip you are bidding on. All bids are due by 5:00 pm CDT on January 15th, 2016. Payment is due by January 22nd, 2016 and damage deposit is due 30 days prior to your arrival.
How to Put in a Bid: Enter your name, email, (disregard the website field) the trip/property you want to bid on and the amount of your bid in the comments sections below. If your bid amount has met the reserve and is the high bid for that trip at 5:00 pm CDT January 15th, 2016 (my birthday btw ;-), you are the winner! Your payment for the winning amount would be due to me by January 22nd, 2016.
